Introducing Bivernado: Brand Intelligence at Scale
Today we're opening up the Bivernado API — a structured brand identity database covering 231,000+ brands across 85 industries. Colors, typography, voice, visual DNA — all queryable through a REST API and an MCP server for Claude.
The problem
If you've ever done competitive brand research, you know the workflow: open 40 browser tabs, squint at color pickers, screenshot font stacks, and manually log everything into a spreadsheet. The brand identity world runs on vibes and eyeballing.
Existing brand APIs help with logos — you can pull a company's SVG and call it done. But logos are just the surface. What about the full color system? The typography hierarchy? How the brand talks? Where it fits in its industry?
That's the gap we're filling.
What Bivernado does
Bivernado extracts, structures, and analyzes the complete visual identity of brands. For every brand in our database, you get:
- Colors — full palette with semantic roles (primary, secondary, accent, background), in hex, RGB, and HSL
- Typography — font families, weights, and usage roles (heading, body, mono)
- Voice — AI-analyzed brand voice attributes (formal/casual, technical/accessible, etc.)
- Industry context — classification, market tier, geography, conformity scoring
- Design tokens — ready to plug into design systems and code
The API
The API is live right now. No key required for basic lookups:
You get back structured JSON with everything: colors, typography, industry, voice, and more. We have 8 endpoints covering brand lookup, search, comparison, industry analytics, and design tokens.
MCP server for Claude
We ship an official MCP server that plugs into Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Add brand context to AI workflows with one config block — your AI can look up any brand, compare identities, and search by industry natively.
What's next
We're scaling the pipeline toward 500K+ brands, adding logo assets, and building SDKs for TypeScript and Python. The free tier (100 requests/day) is free forever — we want developers building with brand data.
If you're interested in early access to Pro features (5,000 req/day, intelligence endpoints), join the waitlist.
